    after over ten years of working in the wine industry, i finally moved to napa last fall. yes, it feels as magical as it sounds–i am literally living in paradise! i am still getting my sea legs, but people often ask me for recommendations, and i figured it was time to put a list together. i will keep this updated as i familiarize myself with the area, but hope it helps you on your next napa valley trip!

    Grab and Go Breakfast
    – Bouchon Bakery in Yountville for the dreamiest pastries and sandwiches (caution: long lines)
    – Model Bakery in Downtown Napa for the best English muffins of your life. Add Chipotle aoli to the breakfast sandwiches!! (caution: long lines)
    – Contimo Provisions in Downtown Napa for incredible biscuit sandwiches (try ham and jam!)

    Grab and Go Lunch
    – Oakville Grocery in Oakville for delicious but quick sandwiches, coffees, burritos, etc. Very charming and picturesque
    – Gott’s roadside is iconic, stop for great burgers or the amazing Vietnamese chicken salad (long waits)
    – Oxbow Market in Downtown Napa is a food hall with lots of great options, including Loveski Jewish Deli, Hog Island Oyster Co, Ritual Coffee, etc.

    Drinks:
    – Chispa Tequila Bar in Downtown Napa, new cocktail lounge with great vibes
    – Cadet Wine Bar in Downtown Napa, a popular spot for late night winos
    – Napa Yard is a beer garden great for day drinking and also very good burgers

    Wineries
    – If you like sparkling wine: Domaine Chandon (brand new, immaculate vibes), Domaine Carneros (feels like France) and Schramsberg (cave tasting) are all epic and gorgeous and delicious

    Sit Down Lunch/Dinner
    – Tarla in Downtown Napa for casual but solid Mediterranean food
    – Oenotri or Ristoranti Allegria in Downtown Napa for classy, elegant Italian
    – Ad Hoc in Yountville for elevated American
    – Angele in Downtown Napa for classy French by the river
